If you are unfamiliar with the Extr@ Series put out by Discovery Learning, you really have to check these out. Here is the first episode. This is perfect for Level 2 German. Watch the whole series with your class! Note: There are a few innuendos and situations that might not be appropriate for younger grades but those scenes can be skipped easily. Preview these and see what your class thinks!
I also recommend the delightful series called the Lernen to Talk Show. Follow the adventures of a German student as he goes from halting German to fluency over the course of a year. He recorded an interview each week. Here is a video from his 3rd week in Germany.
Below are many movies that can be viewed in German. You can use our worksheets to assign to your students or use them to offer students some extra credit. You are welcome to use any of these worksheets as you wish, just click on the picture to get the worksheet.
Michael Miller made a series of videos dealing with gender and case. Some may find it easier to understand than the more traditional approach. Click for a PowerPoint that summarizes what he cover about this. Also, a YouTube video of Michael teaching it is below.
